My name is Sydney Taylor and I am a music journalist based out of Philadelphia, PA. Ever since I was a little girl, I have had an incredibly strong love for all things music. Throughout my childhood, my parents raised me on all types of music, but more specifically rock and roll. Thanks to their constant playing of artists from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s (you name it, they played it), I’ve developed my own love for hard rock and heavy metal and a passion that has driven me to work in this industry and make a living fully immersed in what I love. Over three years ago, I started my journalism journey when I began to write blog posts for the ever-growing social media brand University of Rock. Since then, I’ve been a contributor for numerous publications including MA Entertainment Global and Batterskull Clothing. After gaining some amazing irreplaceable experience, I decided it was time to develop my own brand to share my interviews and reviews and to build a community with all of my fellow rockers! In my time not spent writing and drafting up interview questions, I attend college as a Music Business, Entrepreneurship, and Technology major here in the city, and work for Live Nation at some of Philadelphia’s premier music venues!
